Giant's Causeway from Dublin: Which Day Tour, and Do You Want Belfast or the Titanic?
Updated October 13, 2026 · 6 min read
For most visitors, book the Giant’s Causeway, Dark Hedges, Dunluce and Belfast day tour: €80 per person, 12 hours, 4.8 stars from 10,072 reviews, with at least two hours at the Causeway and 1.5 hours in Belfast. If the Titanic exhibition is on your list: the Giant’s Causeway, Dark Hedges and Titanic tour costs the same €80 and includes the ticket. For the lowest price: a Belfast and Causeway day trip is €63.75.

Before you pick: what the day is, and the border
All six are coach tours that leave Dublin early and come back the same evening. The Finn McCools tours meet outside the Hugh Lane gallery on Parnell Square. The Titanic one starts at 6:45 am and finishes between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm, and its page warns that there can be up to two hours between stops. Treat the Causeway as the reason to go and the rest as the road.
Northern Ireland is in the United Kingdom, and the booking pages say so in practical terms. Its currency is the pound sterling, though most places accept cards. The Paddywagon tour’s page adds that you may need a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) unless you are, for example, an Irish or British citizen or a legal resident of Ireland, and the most-booked tour’s page says you are responsible for any visa requirements. Check your own position on the official UK ETA site before you book; none of this is for the tour operator to decide for you.
The most-booked tour: the Causeway first, Belfast as free time
With 10,072 reviews and 4.8 stars, this is the tour to measure the others against. After a breakfast stop at a service station it has a five-minute photo stop at Dunluce Castle, then at least two hours at the Causeway, then about 20 minutes at the Dark Hedges, then roughly 1.5 hours in Belfast beside City Hall, for sightseeing, shopping and food. Entry to the Titanic museum is not included, nor are food and drinks, and the page recommends a packed lunch. People with mobility impairments are listed as not suitable.

The Titanic versions: three ways to spend the Belfast hours
If the Titanic exhibition matters, pick a tour that includes the ticket. The €80 Titanic tour includes the Titanic Belfast ticket, goes to the Causeway first, allows 10 minutes at Dunluce and walks along the Dark Hedges. Its page warns that the tour involves a lot of walking. The €95 version includes both the Titanic ticket and the Causeway entry, allows 1.5 hours at each, and has only about 30 minutes in Belfast itself; it runs 13 to 14 hours, and its page does not recommend it for children under 3 or for people with mobility issues.
The €85 Wild Rover tour lets you choose in Belfast between the Titanic Experience and a political black taxi tour through the Falls and Shankill areas. The Titanic ticket and the taxi tour are included; the Causeway Visitor Center (restaurant and shops) is not, and the page lists food as excluded. It is the longest at 14 hours, with an expected return to Dublin around 8:00 pm. Children under 3 are listed as not suitable.

The Paddywagon day: entries included, lower rating
Here the €80 buys skip-the-line access to the Giant’s Causeway and entry to Dunluce Castle, a stop at the Dark Hedges and an orientation tour of Belfast that passes City Hall, Victoria Square and the Titanic Dock. There is an audio guide in English, and time for lunch in a pub or café. Its rating is 4.5 from 2,123 reviews, a little lower than the Finn McCools tours at the same price. Wheelchair users and people with mobility impairments are listed as not suitable, and hotel pickup and tips are not included.
The cheapest: a longer Causeway visit, one driver-guide
At €63.75 the EI Travel day trip lists the Dark Hedges for 40 minutes, 2.5 hours at the Causeway with entry included, and 105 minutes in Belfast. Its driver-guide gives the commentary, the coach leg out takes 3.33 hours and the leg back 2.5 hours, and lunch is not included. Its 4.4 stars from 986 reviews are the lowest here; a reviewer said the guide could have known the Game of Thrones material better. If your priority is time at the Causeway for the least money, this is the one.

Which one
Book the most-booked tour if the landscape is the point, and choose the Titanic tour at the same price if the exhibition is. Pay more for the €95 tour only if you want both attractions at 1.5 hours each and can accept a day that runs to 14 hours. Think twice about all six if you or someone in your group uses a wheelchair or has limited mobility: five of the six pages list them as not suitable or not recommended (the Wild Rover page names only children under 3), so ask the operator first.
